/Library/Preferences (aka: /Users/username/Library Preferences) There was no com.apple.security.revocation.plist file in any of the Preferences folders on my iMac. If one did exist I'd expect it to be in the same Preferences folder as the above plist file. Check your /Library/Preferences folder for either or both of those plist files. The iApps.plist points to the location of my iTunes library's XML file. Additionally, as of iTunes 12.2, the Advanced pane of iTunes Preferences has a setting to 'Share iTunes Library XML with other applications' When this is checkmarked OFF, the XML file is not written out and the iApps.plist file will not have a pointer to its location. Remove itunes.plist: Go to Hard Drive - Users - your user name- Library - Preferences - com.apple.iTunes.plist and drag that file to the trash. Note: if you see com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist or com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist you can throw those away, too. (though they most likely aren't the problem).

On my iMac the com.apple.security.plist is located in the Preferences folder in the Local Domain: /Library/Preferences but you were looking in the Preferences folder in the User Domain: /Library/Preferences (aka: /Users/username/Library Preferences) There was no com.apple.security.revocation.plist file in any of the Preferences folders on my iMac. This procedure also works for other programs like iPhoto or iTunes, or whatever that stores a preference file (.plist) in the (hidden) User/Library folder, the procedure is the same, just sub out the program your having problems with.plist file instead of the System Preference.plist file below.
